As part of our ongoing organisational development, we are
looking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager for our new Kingsgrove, Sydney
office.
Reporting to the Commercial & Finance Manager, your national
role will primarily be to interpret, manage and oversee assigned contracts to ensure
the business meets its contractual requirements and delivers results in line
with agreed time, quality, budget and customer objectives.
Your role will include pre-construction, delivery and claim
focus on contracts varied in value from $50k to $10m+ with extensive internal
(Business/Commercial/Finance/Operations Managers, Legal, Insurance & Risk) and external (Clients,
Subcontractors, Suppliers, Industry Bodies, Legal/Auditors) liaison.
There will be a need to represent Silcar Communications in
negotiations and to provide timely and accurate reports on the status of
contract performance, monitoring and identifying any relevant issues, ensuring
Silcar Communications commercial position is correctly represented at all times. You will also be responsible for competently
reporting and advising on the commercial/contractual status of projects.
To deliver in this role, you must demonstrate a high level
of competency in contract administration,
assessment of claims, variations and eligibility, with an eye for detail and
experience of establishing financial controls and contractual correspondence
within a major infrastructure environment.
Key personality traits will include excellent negotiation
and issue resolution skills and strength in liaising with all stakeholders,
sub-contractors and colleagues. You must
demonstrate tenacity and a professional, friendly approach at all times
combined with strong written and numerical skills.
You will have a minimum 10 years' experience at management
level in a project environment, preferably in the Infrastructure/EPC or
telecommunication major project environment. A tertiary qualification in
Project/Contract Management, Commerce, Law or Engineering is highly desirable.
